Ashton Kutcher : Biography
Christopher Ashton Kutcher was born on February 7, 1978, and his fraternal twin (Yeah ladies, that would be fraternal) brother was born five minutes
later. His twin brother's name is Michael; he also has a sister named Tausha. His parents are Larry Kutcher (his father) and Diane Portwood
(his mother). He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and raised in Homestead, Iowa. When Ashton was 13, his parents got divorced & have since remarried
giving him step-siblings. Also that year his brother had a heart transplant (due to cardiomyopathy). When he was 15 his mom (& stepdad Mark) moved
all 3 kids to Homestead, Iowa. That move changed his high school from Cedar Rapids Washington to Clear Creek Amana. In High School Ashton excelled
in sports including football & wrestling. But being athletic paid it's
toll both socially (he was teased for also being in drama) & physically
(he had many injuries). Although appearing in plays & musicals since his
debut as a theif in The Crying Princess and the Golden Goose in 7th grade,
it wasn't until senior year that he got his biggest role to date; Daddy
Warbucks in Annie.
Ashton Kutcher : Career
In the Spring of 1998 he went to LA to go out on auditions for TV shows. He had 2 auditions that day; 1 was for Wind on Water and the other was That '70s Show. He landed both almost instanly & was forced to make the decision. Luckily, since Wind on Water was soon cancelled he chose wisely. He now consides the '70s gang to be his "second family". Other LA friends include Mellisa Joan Hart & Fred Savage. His best friend from Iowa is named Tad. He has several cars including a '98 Dodge Durango & a Jeep. He has many dogs & a cat named Fido. When not working he enjoys playing chess, golf and Nintendo video games. He also likes to fish, snowmobile and bowl. He's admitted that in Iowa there wasn't much to do but go to the movies or bowl so he is a very skilled bowler (he won MVP @ MTV's Rock-n-Jock Bowling Ball) Now adays he only has time to read scripts but he has enjoyed reading; Where the Red Fern Grows, Many Lives, Many Masters & Mutants Down Under. He stands 6'3" tall & weights 175 lbs. His least favorite body part is his size 12 feet (he has 2 webbed middle toes on his right foot). He likes his hair short & plans on cutting it after the show is over. He's said that he would dress more '70s but doesn't want people to confuse him with his character. Two accessories he is never without are a puca shell necklace & a cigarette. He is "a Jeopardy freak" but doesn't like Alex Tribek because "he acts like he knows all the answers". He insteads likes Regis Philbin's quiz show style. Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Ashton does! Actually he was offered a spot on the Nov. 2001 celebrity edition but FOX made him turn it down (fearing he would help add to an opposing network's ratings) but to make up for it FOX instead gave $ to 1 of Ashton's charities. Another show Ash watches is The Brady Bunch to see his "goddess" Maureen McCormick. Other ladies he loves are Meg Ryan, Jennifer Aniston, Claire Danes, Kristy Swanson, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston & Marilyn Monroe. His favorite actor is Tom Cruise. He is constantly watching movies; some of his faves are Forrest Gump, Boogie Nights, The Shawshank Redemtion & The Usual Suspects! He didn't like the new Star Wars very much & especially hated Jar Jar! Depending on his mood or activity he listens to just about everything from rap to piano. His faves include Fine Machine, Dave Mathews Band & The Beatles. He's also been at concerts of Counting Crows & Hanson. He's even attended a few Playboy mansion partys. So far Ashton has been named as one of; People's 50 Most Beautiful People (2000), Teen People's 25 Hottest Stars Under 25 (2002 & 2000), Teen People's 21 Hottest Stars Under 21 (1999), BOP's 20 Hottest Guys Ever (1999), 16's 25 Cutest Guys Ever (1999), E!'s Sixteen Sizzlers (1999) & Movieline's Most Ravishingly Cute Young Actor (2000).
